Melbourne Heritage Strategy

At Heritage Workshop, we worked closely with City of Melbourne to develop a people-centred approach for its next ten-year heritage strategy. The strategy is transformative and has the potential to make the City of Melbourne a global leader in urban heritage conservation. Heritage Workshop was engaged at the start of the project to prepare a detailed scoping paper, which provided the policy, conceptual and research basis for the strategy. Our work shaped the key themes and issues canvassed in the strategy. These themes and issues included sustainability, design, participation and Indigenous heritage. Community and stakeholder engagement was also informed by our people-centred approach.
