Founding Director of Heritage Workshop, Dr James Lesh is the lead facilitator of courses and seminars offered by Heritage Workshop. He has taught into Australia's leading heritage postgraduate courses at the University of Melbourne, University of Sydney, and Deakin University, and has guest lectured at King's College London and the University of Queensland. He has been responsible for CPD and postgraduate curriculum development. James holds a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education (Learning and Teaching).

Learn by Heritage Workshop offers courses and workshops to built environment, government and community professionals.

Our workshops are customised to your workplace and organisation.

It is expected that learners have qualifications in the built environment, public policy, or humanities and social sciences. Or equivalent work experience in the commercial, government, or not-for-profit sectors.

No prior study or experience in heritage is assumed. No formal entry requirements apply.

Each of our courses and workshops is standalone, without any pre-requisites.

We tailor the length and content of sessions to your needs. Sessions length can vary from a 30-minute lunchtime session to a half-day seminar to a 1-week course, and anything in between.
